NEWS
The Cleveland Cavaliers are showing an interest in Milwaukee Bucks assistant coach Kelvin Sampson.
It was just a couple of years ago that Sampson found himself fired from Indiana and his coaching career virtually ruined because of multiple NCAA recruiting violations.
He has caught on as an NBA assistant and gained a lot of credit for his close relationship with rookie Brandon Jennings.
He has a close relationship as well with Cleveland general manager Danny Ferry, who could lure him to the Cavs.
It’s an interesting possibility that certainly doesn’t seem like a move that would entice LeBron James to re-sign with the team.

After more than a week of speculation, the Cleveland Cavaliers have fired head coach Mike Brown.
Brown was expected to be on the chopping block, but the Cavaliers announced that they were reviewing his job performance.
To me, it sounds more like they were researching whether or not the firing would help or hurt their chances of retaining LeBron James.
To James credit, he never threw Brown under the bus or blamed him for the team’s early playoff exit.
At the same time, it became obvious to everyone that Brown was outcoached the past two postseason trips.

The Chicago Bulls are quietly eyeing up LeBron James and seem like the most likely team to land the pending free agent.
Rumors are circling that James would be a package deal along with Kentucky Wildcats head coach John Calipari.
Many are strongly denying that James would be requesting such a deal, but the rumors persist anyway.
It would be an interesting move considering all of the comparisons of James and Michael Jordan.
LeBron also will be looking at the Miami Heat, New York Knicks, New Jersey Nets and hometown Cleveland Cavaliers.

Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown has not been fired yet by the team, contrary to reports.
Reports started to come out that the team had terminated Brown following their disappointing playoff performance.
However, Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert said that the team is in the process of evaluating Brown’s job.
That certainly doesn’t sound promising, and could mean they are trying to find out if LeBron James will return if or if not Brown comes back.
Either way, it seems that Brown deserves to go after such a terrible coaching job the past two postseasons.

The Cleveland Cavaliers were eliminated from the playoffs in a 94-85 loss to the Boston Celtics.
The Game 6 loss is stunning considering that Cleveland was the heavy favorite coming into the series.
Instead, they are left to ponder what happened and how the best regular season team in the league could crash so hard and so fast in the postseason.
It also makes one wonder about the future of LeBron James as the highly anticipated offseason of 2010 is just around the corner.
With the team’s inability to take that next step, James may be much less willing to return to the hometown team.

The Cleveland Cavaliers rolled past the Boston Celtics in Game 3, but Game 4 presented a different challenge.
The Cavaliers played the Celtics straight up for three quarters but couldn’t close the deal in the final period.
It looked like Cleveland was tired or simply got lazy as Boston outhusted them for every loose ball.
Cleveland had no answer defensively for point guard Rajon Rondo, who finished with 29 points, 18 rebounds and 13 assists.
Despite the loss, the Cavaliers head back to Cleveland for Game 5 with home court advantage still intact.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have finished off the Chicago Bulls in five games to advance to the second round.
The Bulls did steal one game and pushed the Cavaliers in a couple of others, but were never a real threat.
LeBron James had his way in every game, averaging nearly a triple-double over the course of the series.
There is concern surrounding a troublesome elbow that forced James to shoot a free throw left handed in Game 5.
James said the injury has been bothering him for some time but seems to have gotten a little worse of late.

Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James won the league’s MVP award in a landslide.
James received nearly all of the first place votes. Kevin Durant finished second in voting and Kobe Bryant was third.
It is the second MVP award for James, who will likely add to the collection of trophies in the coming years.
He helped lead the Cavaliers to the best record in the NBA this year despite a weak supporting cast.
James now has his eyes set on what seems like the only thing he hasn’t won yet: an NBA championship.
