G West Cited in Domestic Abuse Report
A troubling offseason has just gotten worse for Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte West.
West’s wife filed a domestic violence report against him on Sunday with police at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
West’s wife claimed that he accused her of cheating on him, then broke down into an argument which featured West taking his wife’s wedding ring and purse.
On Monday, police said that no charges have been filed against West as they continue to investigate the case.
This is just the latest in a string of incidents involving West in the past few months. He was arrested in August after being pulled over in Maryland and being found with three guns. West also missed every preseason game with the Cavs as he battled back from bipolar disorder that caused him to miss the first two days of training camp.
West has been ruled doubtful for Tuesday’s season opener against the Boston Celtics, opening the possibility for Anthony Parker or Daniel “Boobie” Gibson to get the start at shooting guard alongside Mo Williams.
